The Mott lab is located at the University of Toronto – Scarborough, one of the three integrated campuses of the University of Toronto, and can be found in the new Science Research Building as part of a large open-concept space shared by six plant focused labs. The UTSC campus is in an eastern suburb of Toronto, and the Department of Biological Sciences has ~30 faculty, ~150 graduate students, and ~20 post-docs who do research in an interdisciplinary environment. UTSC is located on parkland along the edge of a ravine, and is much quieter and more intimate than the larger St George campus, though as part of the University of Toronto, we have full access to an extensive network of libraries, digital collections, and e-resources.
